Playing for change
The Inspiration
Playing for Change is a multimedia movement created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music. The idea for this project arose from a common belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. No matter whether people come from different geographic, political, economic, spiritual or ideological backgrounds, music has the universal power to transcend and unite us as one human race. And with this truth firmly fixed in our minds, we set out to share it with the world.
The Production
We built a mobile recording studio, equipped with all the same equipment used in the best studios, and traveled to wherever the music took us. As technology changed, our power demands were downsized from golf cart batteries to car batteries, and finally to laptops. Similarly, the quality with which we were able to film and document the project was gradually upgraded from a variety of formats-- each the best we could attain at the time—finally to full HD.
One thing that never changed throughout the process was our commitment to create an environment for the musicians in which they could create freely and that placed no barriers between them and those who would eventually experience their music. By leading with that energy and intent everywhere we traveled, we were freely given access to musicians and locations that are usually inaccessible. In this respect, the inspiration that originally set us on this path became a co-creator of the project along with us!......................

La Inspiración
Playing for Change (Tocando por un Cambio) es un movimiento multimedia creado para inspirar, conectar y traer paz al mundo a traves de la música. la idea de este proyecto surgió de una creencia común en la que la música tiene el poder de romper barreras y sobrepasar distancias entre las personas. no importa si la gente tiene diferentes estructuras geograficas, políticas, económicas, espirituales o ideológicas, la música tiene el poder universal para trascender y unirnos como una sola raza humana. y con esta firme convicción pegadas a nuestras mente, lo hemos hecho realidad para compartirlo con el mundo.
La Producción
construímos un estudio de grabación móvil, equipado con el mismo equipo que es usado en los mejores estudios, y viajamos dónde sea que la música nos lleve. y así cómo la tecnología cambia, nuestras fuentes de energía han cambiiado de baterías de carritos de golf, a baterías de carros y últimamente a computadoras portátiles. igualmente, la calidad con la que grababamos y documentabamos un proyecto ha sido mejorada gradualmente en variedad de formas -- y cada una de las que hacemos en este momento -- finalmente, con calidad del formato HD.
una cosa que nunca ha cambiado a traves del proceso, ha sido nuestro compromiso en crear un ambiente para los músicos en el cual ellos puedan crear libremente, sin ubicar barreras entre ellos y eventualmente en aquellos que disfrutan su música. encaminando esta energía, intentamos, en cada lugar al que vamos, de dar acceso libre a músicos y locaciones que usualmente son inaccesibles. al respecto, la inspiración que nos ubica en este camino se convierte en co-creador del proyecto, co-creador del proyecto, como nosotros.........
